I was struggling to say something deep and profound about an artist's quest and the sweats of bitter struggle for inspiration. It just wasn't happening and instead it seemed easier to drift through old albums, Facebook postings and daydreams of past holidays. Then it became apparent. Too many of my pictures contained humour, either overt, such as the one of my wife taking picture prone on a rock in the middle of the River Swale, or cryptic as shown above. We can take ourselves too seriously sometimes and wondered if we could muster a 'smile' challenge some time. They are out there, believe me!
